INTEREST THz Workshop
The first DE-UK INTEREST THz Workshop @Bergische Universität Wuppertal: 10.10.-11.10.2022
The annual meeting took place in the framework of the priority program "Integrated Terahertz Systems (INTEREST)" funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) with 7.2 million Euros. A special feature of the program is the supraregional and international cooperation of the participating scientists.
There were 12 presentations from Germany and the UK on topics related to promising terahertz technologies. (e.g. silicon integrated THz technologies for next generation 6G communications, electronic/photonic integrations, THz spectroscopy systems, THz microfluidics and biosensors, graphene THz sensors etc.).
In between the presentations, there was the opportunity to exchange ideas and have technical discussions, as well as to make new contacts.

Der erste DE-UK INTEREST-THz Workshop @Bergische Universität Wuppertal10.10.-11.10.2022

Das alljährliche Treffen fand im Rahmen des durch die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) mit 7,2 Millionen Euro geförderten Schwerpunktprogramms „Integrierte Terahertz Systeme (INTEREST)“ statt. Besonderes Kennzeichen des Programms ist die überregionale und internationale Kooperation der teilnehmenden Wissenschaftler*innen.

Es gab 12 Präsentationen aus Deutschland und Großbritannien zu Themen im Zusammenhang mit vielversprechenden Teraherz-Technologien. (z. B. in Silizium integrierte THz-Technologien für die 6G-Kommunikation der nächsten Generation, elektronische/photonische Integrationen, THz-Spektroskopiesysteme, THz-Mikrofluidik und -Biosensoren, Graphen-THz-Sensoren uvm.).

Zwischen den Präsentationen gab es die Möglichkeit sich auszutauschen und Fachgespräche zu führen, sowie neue Kontakte zu knüpfen.
